Like the shirt, but I am not allowed Beer. I wish. That would make this so much easier. :) I am not a beer person tho so I guess not! Anyway today was a lazy day. I tried my CPAP machine last night. I went to sleep around 11 and woke up at 2:30 and I must have taken the mask off. So I put it back on and then woke up at 6:30 and took it off. I intended to get up at that time, but ended up lying there too long and fell asleep until 10:30 I admit I woke up in between there, but I did not put it back on :(
I have been lying around all morning and writing down some recipes that I can try when I get off liquids. I forgot to mention that I lost 14lbs when I went to the doctor on Tuesday. I am so proud!!! I got my call today and my surgery is at 10:30 Monday morning. I need to be there at 8:30 and they said that I will be only there 1 night thank goodness! I also got a call telling me to bring my CPAP machine, and another asking about an EKG. I am so excited that I am getting this done so soon! I can't believe this weekend is already here come tomorrow! I am writing this early tonight, because I will be going to bed as early as I can tonight because I am sooo excited for this weekend to go by!!! I am also nervous just praying that all goes okay. I am a parinoid person so I think of every possible thing that could go wrong! Today wasn't really anything special either. I worked on laundry and I called and made an appointment for tomorrow to get my blood drawn at Dr Akkary's office. I want to make sure they get it back in time for surgery!!! I also made and appointment for getting my CPAP machine, finally! Other than that I just cleaned up and did laundry made food for my little. Oh and I started craving some carbonation, so I bought some Sprite Zero. My doctor has this on my "yes" list, but its always good to check if it isn't on yours! Today was mother's day and Gabi was very cranky, but then went to a dinner with my mom, dad and sisters. I really would have loved to have gone, but I knew I couldn't sit there and not eat. Other than that it wasn't a bad day. So today was a little different I had a bad morning. I woke up and drank a bottle of water and then we decided to go to the store. So when I left I took a bottle of water with me and I was starting to get a headache when we pulled out of town. We get to the bottom of the hill and Billy turns the opposite way of where I thought we were going and takes us to Cumberland which is 40 mins away instead of 20. We end up going to Wal-mart and I got some more Equate shakes, this time vanilla and strawberry. I also found two new broths, not the ones pictured above. I have been using the Herbox chicken and beef bouillon and they are perfectly fine and delicious, but I have been craving spicy foods. So I came across Swanson Mexican Tortilla and Swanson Chinese Hot N Sour. I also got some Tabasco sauce to mix with it. Then we left and Billy and Gabi ate Burger King while I sipped on some water. By the time we got home I had a huge headache! Once I ate again we cleaned up a little bit and went outside. Then we decide to go to Keyser (the store that's only 20 mins away). Billy got me my Mother's Day presents. I ended up getting a new scale, food digital scale, digital food thermometer, fine grater, hand juicer, new shoes, ice cube trays, Tylenol, and a water bottle. I loved my gifts and I cannot wait to use them! Today wasn't so bad Billy and my step-dad cut grass together and then they scrubbed off the side of the house and patio. Me and Gabi played outside and went inside in the AC we were going to take a walk, but ended up just playing outside and inside all day. We talked about buying a treadmill. I also was craving tomatoes so I didn't drink any of my equate shakes so I had 2 cups of tomato soup with water. This was me yesterday! :D I was so happy to get that phone call. I have been praying and asking for a quick approval!!! She called and we scheduled for May 19th, 2014. I started my two week pre surgery diet yesterday! I will try and post each day for my surgery! Day 1 was yesterday and I drank the following: 2 bottles of water 4 cups of chicken bouillon 2 Wal-mart equate weight loss shakes Chocolate 2 popsicles I did this and then ate a large Italian sub knowing its going to be the last bread I have for at least a year was very rewarding. THIS IS IT!!! No more of these so called "cheats"! I will never allow myself to cheat or even pick anymore. In the process of switching my family over to this healthy lifestyle! :)
So I really haven't done too much in the past couple weeks. I have been sticking to my normal diet, which is not the greatest, but is better than before. I haven't done much exercise. Billy, Gabi, and I try to take walks every day. We have been walking a rather steep path for a few days and I feel like I am dying each time I make it up that hill, but it feels amazing to know that I am capable of doing that. I am a very heavy person and to be able to walk that hill was a major accomplishment. :) When Billy brought it up to me first I was like I cannot do that, but he just kept pushing me and told me that I could. So I tried and I made it :) I have done it 3 times since then. Of course we had Easter and a few other things going on the past couple weekends, and it has been rather rainy here this month. During the sunny days me and Gabi play in the yard, but I don't like walking by myself. So I need to find a walking buddy for when my mom isn't home and Billy is working/sleeping. I am going to my pre-op appointment Thursday, May 1st, and we should schedule our surgery date then. Today I have been doing a ton of research, and probably tomorrow and Wednesday too. I want to make sure I get the surgery that is best for me, and I want to feel confident that I will be able to change my lifestyle completely. I am also preparing myself for a 2 week liquid-only diet before and after surgery. I have determined that I need to lose about 250lbs total. I would love to be around 140-180lbs. I am confident that I can accomplish that with a ton of exercise and eating the right meals. I hope that I can get the skin removal surgery after, who knows maybe I can do some fundraiser! This beautiful face is the reason I am choosing to get healthy. Part of me getting healthy is the weight loss. I am currently 390 lbs. This is crazy! I cannot get up any higher! I made the decision last Summer 2013 to get the weight loss surgery. I have done most of my appointments and I have a Psych evaluation, a follow up with my endocrinologist, diet class, and a pre-op appointment before I can get surgery. In the past week me and Billy (boyfriend/fiance) have decided to start eating healthier and helping transition our daughter into a healthier eating habit. She is by no means overweight, in fact there are times I think she seems too skinny, but she is healthy and in a good percentile. She eats to her own appetite and sometimes that does not seem like a lot. I have started to workout. Today I did the Biggest Loser Ultimate workout on Kinect. I only did the pre-test to determine where I am physically. I made it 8 minutes in before my bones were screaming at me. I was not out of breath that much and my muscles were not hurting (I think I will feel that tomorrow), but I realize that this weight is killing my back and my knees, and I am going to have to switch to a low impact workout. So while I was spring cleaning today I looked up a few low impact workouts that I will share with you!
