So it has been 6 weeks since my surgery! I am sorry that I did not post day by day for my liquid diet! :( I got caught up in stuff with my 2 year old and then getting ready for surgery, and getting my house together before I left. My liquid diet pretty much went the same as it was going. I struggled for the last 4 days, but on the day of my surgery I was on my way and the doctor moved me to the next day. His plane was delayed on his way home and he could not make it in time! I was soo pumped then saddened by this, but everything happens for a reason. I left the next day ready for my surgery! I got my blood work and my IV started shortly after I got there and I weighed myself. I had lost 20lbs in 2 weeks!!!! I was soo happy to see such a high loss! It got better from then on out ;) I awoke from surgery with a lot of gas pain, nothing prepared me for that! Once I got up and started moving (like and hour after surgery) It subsided a little. The morphine helped the stomach pain, but not the gas pain. I was just so happy to finally be done! I had to stay 2 days and could not drink anything until like 8pm on the day after my surgery I was so dry and ready to swallow anything.
I went to get my Upper GI and I did good, I was just happy to swallow something, even if it tasted like poop! BLECH!!! I then got to drink about and ounce an hour or as much as I could handle. It was hard after getting used to sipping not gulping! Once I ate some Jello and Broth I got to go home! I could not lift my daughter, but other than that she was sooo happy to see me. For the next week she never left my side!!! I went to Wal-Mart the night I got home to get a few things that I needed along with some Pudding and Yogurt. I was tired of liquids. I did a lot of research and did not follow the liquid diet like I should have. After about a week from surgery I started eating steamed tilipia and broccoli. Me and my stomach were happy. After that I have been slowly incorporating my other foods. I just started in a company called Celebrating Home/Home Interiors/Penelope Ann! I love it and I am hoping to make some good money from it! Send me a message if you want to order something! ;) I am pretty much stuffing my face constantly, but in a good way, since I cannot eat much I am eating like 4-5 very small meals a day to get to my calorie level and protein level!! It was hard at first, but now that I can eat tuna that's pretty much all I eat along with Chicken Meatballs. I just bought 2 large jars of Ragu Garden combination and 2 packs of Farm Rich Chicken meatballs. I throw them in the crock pot together and let them cook all day. I have been eating on the same pot for like 2 weeks now ;) I am happy to see my website on someone elses blog roll I feel like I need to help some of you out and maybe I don't. I just want my journey out there so that if someone needs this information they can follow me ;)
